Playa del Carmen Restaurant Guide - A Quick Look at Playa's Restaurants

restaurants_at_night_on_5th_avenue_playa_del_carmen_mexicoA major part of the charm of The Riviera Maya, and Playa del Carmen, is the international flare and influence that comes with people traveling from all over the globe to either live or visit the area. There is a large Italian community that lives here year round who flock to our pristine beaches. Swedes have also taken a liking to the beautiful Mexican landscape owning businesses such as local favorites; Babe's Noodle House and La Rana Cansada. The Dutch discovered it years ago escaping the cold winters of Holland to enjoy the warm tropical weather that we all love so much. Argentineans consider the Rivera Maya a perfect destination, and because of this we get to enjoy amazing Argentinean grills with amazing food that everyone raves about. Of course our neighbors to the north, in the United States and Canada, have been long time fans of Mexico in general, but specifically choose to invest millions of dollars in real estate in the Rivera Maya to secure their slice of paradise. Germans, Spanish, Nationals from all over Mexico, South Africans, Israeli's, and Uruguayans, are just a few more nationalities that have made the Riviera Maya a top-notch international destination.

With the international influx comes international cuisine, and there are plenty of choices when it comes to dining out in Playa del Carmen and the Rivera Maya. There are sushi bars, Chinese food, Mexican Grills, Argentinean Grills, Thai food, Swedish Mat (food) , Mediterranean Cuisine, Italian Pasta Houses, Upscale Lebanese hot spots, Crepe houses, Cuban fare, the famous United States based fast food chains, coffee houses, cafes, wraps, sandwiches, and hole in the wall pizza joints; all of which are here for your dining pleasure, adventure, and experience. In addition to the international influences there are scads of places where you can taste and enjoy local fare such as traditional Mayan cuisine, fresh Seafood, and local taco kitchens.

So either way, if you are extremely adventurous and want to try Carnitas (pig eyes or pig liver), or if you are a picky eater, and want to stick with McDonald's French fries, there is a place for you to eat while visiting Playa del Carmen and the Rivera Maya.
